Seeing as this is now a PPV event , you cannot hold the sim off on Sundays either .
I like many work Monday - Sunday and it’s quite annoying that one of my days off when I can do stuff, is laboured because the game won’t sim.

100% agree on this. At least give leagues the option to sim every day or pick a day in which they don’t sim if they want to. That’s something you can incentivise the league owners with as part of a subscription.

JDB as you turn this hobby into a venture capital, I hope you are noticing the widespread disdain of this decision.

Have you thought about selling this to someone who can support it? Seems like you have a base that is willing to pay something, if you actually did anything worthwhile other then keep servers running.

Is this a for profit company now?

What if I don’t own any teams ? Can I still run more than one league?
I’m quite open to just ditching my teams to continue owning my two leagues .

I’ve got so much **** going on in my life right now, ‘worrying’ about this is the least of my problems.
This is a game I’ve played to keep my mental health in check and ironically this is happening when I’m at rock bottom.

The worst part about this is the lack of notice .

Agreed. Work 50 a week plus, raise kid and maintain family. This place was a mental break. Now it is more broken than ever before

In the end I don’t think I still understand what is going to happen. I’m going to hold out on paying like most other owners, I will monitor others who converted credits to subscription and see if they continue. If everything starts to fall then so be it. If JDB delivers even a modicum outside of the UI I would be impressed, if he actually becomes a routine admin with regular patches that have meaningful impact on user experience then I will pay.

Anything short of that, then take MFN behind the barn and put this dog out of its misery. My opinion is sell it to someone who cares, or hire a real FT developer to justify subscription. Do you need investment? I’d pay for a stake in interest of the game before I pay a subscription. Seriously, let’s talk business and change the whole tone. Is he willing to bet I could put a small group of stake holders together.

This can solve your financial woes. It will provide user counsel. But also accountability for progress. We can set quarterly check ins to go over figures, plans and needs. I will assist in coordinating true help where you cannot dedicate the time.

Through this all you can maintain your creation, generate real capital, continue subscription model. PM me, we can work this out.

Several posts in here about folks wanting to invest/help raise capital. And I'm more than open to those avenues. I've had several conversations through the years, some are still ongoing, but every one that is not has ended with investors being unwilling to participate until there is a better revenue model. So it's yet another catch-22.

I think it would take time, and I imagine there are hurdles. I do believe this is something we could begin to explore. From my perspective you are probably looking to see some serious traction from someone else. I will look first for pledges to gauge interest from a select audience of users only. We can start here.

We can take this conversation through PM from here. Should we possibly get some smoke going, we can expand from there. But I’m not at all hesitant on truly approaching this, if it works then we all win in the end.

After speaking with a few people , I think this is a gamble . If , as people are saying they’re gone after the credits run out , that feels like an awful lot of people to lose.
Do you then even have a product ?

I think a lot of people are also miffed that this dropped from nowhere.

Free to play with ads
2.99 to play with one league no ads

9.99 for everything with ads
14.99 for everything no adds

2.99 increase to 5 if you just want no ads .

Surely there should be an incentive if your paying for the full package to get some discount rather than paying an extra $2 than the one league

You make it a better deal for the full package and no adds I’ll commit to the next 6 months paying to give you chance to show improvements but $5 just for no ads make no sense
